Capcom To Use More Of The RE Engine

If you like the look of Devil May Cry 5 then I have good news for you. Capcom has come out to say they will use more of the RE engine in there games. So far this engine has been used in Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 Remake  and Devil May Cry 5. The big thing about this is that no they maybe thinking about applying this to the other title as Street Fighter.

“We would like to explore ways to provide added value to players, such as features that heighten their sense of immersion. However, we have nothing specific to share at this time. We will examine this issue based on the data we gather through upcoming league play.

The games we developed using the RE Engine during this current hardware generation have received critical acclaim, and from the early stages of building this engine, we kept the ability to augment it for next-generation development in mind.As such, we view the RE Engine as one of our strengths that will contribute to next-generation game creation.”

I don’t know how I feel about this for 1 big reason. RE7 engine aka reach for the moon engine is meant to make things look more realistic something that works for the games it has been applied to before but no Street Fighter since these character act and look over the top. We will have to see where it goes and hopefully it is something good for whatever the next game will be. Whether it be Street Fighter VI or Marvel Vs Capcom 4.

As always thank you for reading.
